I had the pleasure to design a custom wedding monogram for a clients's daughter. This was my first attempt ever at designing custom lettering. I was given an example monogram font to start the process of molding the design into a personalized mark for her and her husband. The initials are COP, C, the brides, P, the grooms, and O, their last name.
The process took around a week or two emailing back and forth to the client for feedback. Editing and tweaking the monogram took several attempts before it was ready to be finalized and printed on thank you notes for the couple.
Upon many revisions, the final mark was approved and went to get blind embossed into high quality Crane Kid Finish Ecruwhite paper. This means there was no ink invloved. However, the paper is sandwiched between two magnesium carved plates, one reverse and extruded, the other intruded. The plates hit the paper a the same time, knocking the image out of the paper to produce an embossed look.
